Mama Mellace’s is part of Mellace Family Brands (www.mfbrands.com), a manufacturer and marketer of diverse product lines that include Kosher tree nuts, peanuts, snack mixes, and chocolate items.
Mama Mellace’s is natural and wholesome snacks and treats that began with the generosity and traditions of Raffalina Mellace. It is pronounced Mell-a-chee and people have been mispronouncing it since she arrived in the United States in 1962 from Calabria, Italy. But that has never stopped her from inviting them into her home for meals made with quality and nutritious ingredients.
Mike Mellace, Mama’s youngest son took those values of tradition, quality and wholesome ingredients and founded Mama Mellace’s in 2001. Today, Mama Mellace’s is all about simple, homemade goodness and quality ingredients that create wholesome treats and make uncomplicated snacks, simply better.
Besides the strong founding values, Mike was inspired by Mama’s generosity and his Christian faith to create The Mama Cares Foundation. Two percent of every Mama Mellace’s product sold goes directly to the foundation, who’s mission is to assist those who desire to serve the Lord by lending a hand to individuals, families, and organizations that are struggling to overcome the challenges of their situation here at home and around the world.
